Flower Tattoo Designs

You may have noticed the growth of tattoo acceptance among women, which is related to the growing number of people getting flower tattoos. The meanings of these tattoos can change depending on the color and types of flowers in them. The meanings can change from the general of flowers as a whole, to the narrow meanings of the lotus or the rose.

Vitality, procreation, birth, nature: these are just a few of the things that a flower tattoo designs symbolize. During a flower’s life cycle, we watch it blossom from the seed, grow and bloom from a bud, and eventually wilt and die, which gives us a stronger connection to nature’s life cycle. To have a tattoo picturing a flower reminds us of that whole process of life.

Also, the colors of the flowers can represent different things. You might pick a white flower tattoo, for instance, because it represents purity, whereas a red flower tattoo can represent passion or the color of Christ’s blood. A rose flower tattoo symbolizes a pure love. In the 16th century, people who were condemned to death would have a rose tattooed on them so they could be instantly recognized if they escaped. However, these days the rose is tattooed as a symbol of love. It’s safe to say that we give this symbolism to the flower on the tattoo because of how we give the flower during romantic occasions. Naturally, this accounts for why we get tattooed with a rose in order to show how much we love a person.

These days many men are getting tattooed too, and the rose is the most common of all the flowers that people choose to get a tattoo of. In the east, the lotus flower represents the same ideals of love and purity that the rose does in the west. However, the lotus flower has additional meanings. Peace and enlightenment, beauty and fortunate, and general goodness are all items which are associated with the lotus.

Through the acquiring of an acacia tattoo, you are symbolizing chaste love and friendship. The Bells of Ireland flower has two meanings: one represents good luck, while the other represents a call of freedom to ring in Ireland. If you are indeed a great lover, you should get a tulip tattooed in order to demonstrate your fame and passion. If you’re a shy person, however, the violet tattoo is one you might consider instead. The Iris tattoo demonstrates that the person is one of great faith, wisdom, or virtue, while the magnolia represents that a person has a great love of nature or a sense of nobility.

Many people get a tattoo of a flower knowing that they will have a beautiful design that will also have a meaning behind it. Flower tattoo designs can vary in size, and be as bold as you like, but whichever flower you choose, make sure it says what you want it to.
